What is Mold Really?

Mold is classified as a kind of fungi. Some fungi are harmless, like types of mushrooms that are safe to eat. However, others can cause serious issues or even cause death. Mold typically grows and continues to grow due to a buildup of moisture that isn’t remedied, which is why it’s essential to handle flooding and leaks quickly and thoroughly to avoid a much trickier problem.
